Delete Your Account

If you would like to permanently delete your Sankofa account and associated data, please follow the steps below. This applies to accounts created on fundraiser.sankofa-ngo.org, spendenaktion.sankofa-ngo.org, and the Sankofa Games mobile app.

How to Request Deletion

1. Send an email to privacy@sankofa-ngo.org with the subject line "Delete my account".
2. Include the email address or phone number associated with your account.
3. We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

• Your user profile (name, email, phone number, avatar)
• Your game scores and leaderboard entries
• Your raffle entries and tickets
• Your membership subscription (if active, it will be cancelled)
• Your login credentials and authentication sessions

What We Retain

• Anonymized donation records — required for tax compliance and financial reporting under Irish and EU law. Your name and personal details are removed; only the donation amount, date, and currency are retained.
• Retention period: Anonymized financial records are kept for 7 years as required by Irish Revenue regulations.
