A charitable fundraiser by MTÜ Sankofa Living & Learning. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. This raffle is conducted in accordance with Decree-Law no. 422/89, as amended by Decree-Law no. 10/95, 98/2018, and 9/2021. Open internationally where permitted by law. Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility: This charitable fundraiser is open to individuals aged 18 or older. Participants are responsible for ensuring participation is lawful in their jurisdiction.

2. Free Entry & Account Limits: No donation is required to enter. Every user can claim 1 free raffle ticket per calendar day (UTC) per active raffle. Only one account per natural person is permitted. Multiple accounts or automated systems (bots) are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.

3. Odds & Equal Treatment: Free entry tickets have equal odds of winning per ticket as paid supporter tickets. Each free entry constitutes one ticket and is treated identically to donation-based tickets, without any reduced probability or disadvantage.

4. Winner Selection: Winners are drawn at random from all eligible entries. Winners will be notified via the email or WhatsApp number provided during entry.

5. Right to Modify or Terminate: The organizer may modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway for important reasons (e.g. technical issues, fraud, force majeure, or legal requirements). No claims arise from such termination.

6. Fraud Prevention: The organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or submitted in violation of these Terms.

8. Origin of Prizes: All prizes are donated to the organizer by Daniel Duroshola under a written donation agreement, without monetary compensation. No cash substitute is available unless explicitly stated. If a prize becomes unavailable, a comparable replacement may be offered.

9. Real Estate and High-Value Prizes: Where prizes involve real estate:

the land is transferred free of all liens and encumbrances;
transfer is subject to applicable property, registration, tax, and legal requirements;
winner must comply with Portuguese property law; non-EU winners may be subject to additional regulatory verification;
transfer costs like IMT, notary registration fees and stamp duty are covered by the organizer, all other costs are borne by the winner.

10. Phases, Dates & Prizes (Milestone Transparency):

The MacBook Air M2 is guaranteed and will be awarded at the conclusion of the raffle. All other prizes are "Unlocked" milestones; they will only be drawn and awarded if the total contributions received during the raffle duration reach or exceed their respective Euro thresholds. If a milestone threshold is not reached, the corresponding prize will not be drawn. No additional contributions will be requested. All valid tickets remain eligible for guaranteed prizes.

11. Purpose of the Giveaway: The giveaway serves exclusively to support the statutory non-profit objectives of MTÜ Sankofa Living & Learning, including but not limited to:

development of educational and learning programs for children and youth;
promotion of youth welfare, environmental education, sustainability, and cultural exchange;
implementation of community-based and regenerative development projects coordinated from Portugal and implemented nationally and internationally, including initiatives such as Camp Calma, the Sankofa Learning Program, Sankofa Learning Center and the Sankofa Eco Village Project.

All proceeds are used exclusively for non-profit purposes. No private profit distribution takes place.

12. Ticket Logic: To ensure accessibility for all supporters, we offer a transparent ticket conversion based on the donation amount and currency. Ticket allocation is based on a fixed internal conversion structure determined by the organizer and does not represent currency equivalence or financial value. Every contribution directly increases your chances of winning while supporting our mission:

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction: This raffle is governed by Portuguese law, in particular Decree-Law no. 422/89, as amended, and is subject to authorization by the competent municipal authority.

14. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this raffle shall first be resolved amicably. Failing that, jurisdiction lies exclusively with the courts of Castelo Branco, Portugal.

Sankofa Living & Learning is committed to protecting personal data and respecting the privacy of all individuals whose information it processes. Personal data are processed solely for the administration of the raffle in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

Data Principles:

Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency; purpose limitation; data minimization; accuracy; storage limitation; integrity and confidentiality.

Types of Data Collected:

Contact information (Email/WhatsApp), program participation data, and communication records. Sensitive data is handled with additional care.

Data Use & Storage:

Data is used only for legitimate organizational purposes. Access is limited to authorized persons; digital data is stored securely. Physical records are protected from unauthorized access.

Data Sharing:

Data is shared only when necessary and lawful. Partners receiving data must adhere to equivalent protection standards. Data is never sold or misused.

Donor Recognition & Transparency:

Donor names (first name and last initial) may be published for transparency purposes based on the legitimate interest of the organization in maintaining public trust in charitable fundraising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Donors may opt out at any time without disadvantage.

Data Subject Rights: Individuals have the right to access their data, request correction or deletion, and raise concerns about misuse. Suspected breaches are reported immediately to the Board.
